Took the F car to lunch, parked it in the big parking lot, between 2 cars, not taking up more than 1 spot. Came back from lunch with a 10 inch key scratch on the rear fender.

Can someone offer an explanation for why anyone would get satisfaction for scratching someone else's car?

I would just admire the nice car for what it is and move on...

It seems the world is getting more corse more rapidly. I received a package for my daughter and it had been opened and the trinket taken out of the box but the box was delivered. I sort of susect a postal employee because if it was a thief from my mailbox why return the packaging? A postal employee caught with a package addressed to someone else would be in trouble, while having a trinket in his pocket is meaningless. Anyway I never had ordinary mail tampered with before. Sometimes when things fell apart in mail the post office would wrap it back up with a note about it opening in the mail.

On the other hand, in 1980 my brother had a hot red six cylander Camero convertable. It was a looker, but neither exclusive nor fast. One day he returned to a parking lot to find a zig zag key scratch on the drivers door. Envy, I suppose.

This evening I was looking over a new Carrera in a restaurant parking lot. Part of one of the letters was peeled off. The sticky foam was still there. Envy, unhappy with their own lives.

Sorry about your car. Get it fixed asap. The best revenge it to not let it bother you, throw some money at it and forget it. I did that years ago when someone popped the drivers window out of my car. The on site security said it happened all the time :(

Jealousy with just the right mix of stupidity.

These kind of people make me sick. I grew up VERY poor, but I never once vandalized anything out of jealousy. Actually I never vandalized anything, but these kinds of actions just disgust me. Its pathetic, and it screams of insecurity.

    Not cool at all.

My Trans Am has been keyed by kids - from wheelwell to wheel well on both sides.

My Expedition got egged sitting in my driveway.

Nothing to the Ferrari or the wifes Escape yet....(crosses fingers).

And people wonder why I am somewhat anti-social....

Just asking, are you sure that's where it happened? I say that because I was out once and noticed a nasty door ding in my '69 Firebird, waited for the owner of the next door to come out and sure enough, it didn't line up. oops, my bad, sorry! But yes a 10" scratch is a bit more noticeable...sad either way :(

On the bright side, anything can be fixed. A little touch up paint expertly matched, nice polish, good as new.

    Sad story.

Some day we'll all have high-tech video cameras in our cars that will protect them from these kinds of losers.

The loser wants to get to your head, he wants you to be upset and be like him. Don't lose to him, get it fixed like new. Pretend it never happened and go on appreciating your Ferrari because you deserve it. It happens to people with Corvettes, Porsches, Lambos you name it. There will always be good people and bad people.

Its just a car. It can be fixed good as new.

But the guy who did it will remain a moron forever.

this makes me mad and then sad.

i suspect most of us place a high value on hard work and we are goal setters and judge our professional and personal performance by hitting those goals. working hard to earn a car be it a ferrari or other is is exciting and a means to an end.

many of us would also point out that we have been very fortunate along the way...even lucky. we don't act entitled to drive these cars but instead privileged. we would also encourage others to set goals/dreams and to work tirelessly to achieve them...just as we have.

we would never dream of damaging the car of another so that's why we take it so hard when it happens to us.

    best

    Thanks,

I am not upset over it. It is a thing, it can and will be fixed. I am just sad that people can stoop down to that level for a warped sense of personal satisfaction.

Well, no more lunch at that place.

    This is it.....

My Ferrari has been hurt at the Medical Center.
    Another time on the jobsite...

I once had a Cadillac damaged end to end, not three weeks after I painted it.
I left that one, I was so dispirited.....

File a claim and get it fixed.
