Possibly controversial... but I changed the wing mirrors on my 246 gts for black 308 ones. Largely because I can use them to see behind me and the dino ONE wasn't particularly useful in this regard.

I think they look ok but I must admit I'm sure there must be something better around? Is there a common upgrade? - or is everyone here of the belief that anything but the original is sacrilege - and just don't worry about what's behind you or get yourself into a position where you need to reverse?

If you feel the need, possibly the Vitaloni California, might pass muster.
    Personally, the original.

The view out the back is at best minimal, the view from the driver's side mirror is mostly useless, however, adjusting the mirror so that you only see road, and not your own car can help.

changing the mirror, in my opinion, does a disservice to the look of the car, but I understand your sentiment.

Best to just take a serious look over your shoulder on the rare occasion that you want to execute a lane change, I think.
