I know that a 599 owner was given an unsolicited offer of $500k and he turned it down. He may have turned it down due to an anti-flipping clause but it still was an offer of $500k. Sorry I can't provide more detail.

I would say that $525k is the market today for an "ordinary" 599. I imagine it will go higher later this spring then fall steeply in late summer.

Remember these car sticker near 380K when optioned, and are currently selling at 100-200K premiums, so price is realistic...

When my car comes in I will post price. I'm guessing over 340k. That includes the 15k price increase.

Prices for 599 right now is totally ridiculous but there are still people who are willing to pay that amount of money for the sake of owning them.

I emailed a company in the Philippines regarding Ferrari prices and here's what they sent me. All taxes paid. Euro Specs.

    Ferrari 599 - PHP 38M = $791, 172.18
    Ferrari F430 - PHP 23M = $478, 876.37

In Philippines, if you spend that kind of money, you would be living a dream. Most owners there are politicians because they can import the car without paying taxes so they get it cheap. They have all source of connections! :)

Price isn't bad, but the $40,000 check I'd have to write at the DMV would hurt. ;)

I was talking to one of the salesman at Motorcars and according to him it is sold. I didn't ask for how much, but I believe it was very, very close to what they were asking. It's 599 "fever" out there!

But owning a 599 or 430 in Kuwait is only half the fun of owning it in the State of Europe. Best

Are all of you guys completely new to Ferrari new model hype? One thing is for sure. Depreciation. As great as the 599gtb is, it will depreciate somewhere between where the 575m and 430 did. Mark my words with the projected production numbers.

Simon, you are probably right. But the miles of smiles you get from owning such a fantastic vehicle is reward enough for me anyway. But Im not paying the mega premium. Thats just not for me either. I say more power to those who want to pay so long as they are truly passionate and also to the dealers who are in business for the profit. Remember, if they dont cash in on these opportunities they might not be around for those of us shopping for less extravagant toys.

    best regards,
    Jerry

430's are still over sticker for any year. 575m's are still close to 65% of their value for a 5 year old car. Somewhere in between is about or just under sticker so I do not get your point.

The production rate of the 599 is so low, and the waiting list is about 3 years, I doubt this car will be below sticker within its production life time. If you are waiting for a 599 to depreciate to 65% of its value before you buy, you might get quite old waiting.
