Yep, something to be proud of: http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/rapper-tyga-shares-lamborghini-aventador-crash-fans-153301157.html
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hMLOioJl6w[/ame] You think being AWD would do pretty well in the snow. I guess 691 hp makes it a little difficult
I'm sorry but it looks like there are just too many people in this world who can afford to buy such a car as the Aventador but have no common sense at all. That tells me that the money must have come easily. Because if I were ever able to have the means of owning such a special car, the last thing I would do with it is to drive it in the snow. For me this just shows a total lack of respect for the car or the money it took to get it. Just my opinion.
Money has nothing to do with using the vehicle in the snow.. I drive my 2010 LP670-4 SV in the snow for the past three years..equiped with the proper winter tires... It is STLL just a car a MACHINE..and not a GOD..if equiped correctly and driven correctly..they can operate correctly as designed.. I am sure if he was operating a Camaro instead of the LP 700 the outcome would have been the same...at least his previous driving record supports that... It was the driver..not the car..
^I can attest to Roy driving the Lambo in the snow. He is kindof a legend (in car scenes) around the Creek for that. I would do the same thing if I had the means.
When it snows in my area, I drive my SUV. Sorry, I still see no reason to drive an exotic car in the snow. And yes, money does have something to do with it. If money was tight, you would not take chances with a car like that on snow. Whether it was a chance of sliding around and crashing (or someone sliding into you) or just the chance of damage to the car from having salt thrown up into everything. If you have the money to do this type of thing and not worry about it then that is great. But you can't say that money has nothing to do with it. I know it is just a car. I drive my 348 every chance I get. But I am not going to place it in undue danger of driving it in the snow. Just my opinion.
Last winter was the first year Seattle ever put anything down. Rock salt. Many car enthuseists groaned collectivly around here when that was announced.
I agree with the no driving in the snow thing. You dont see to many exotics or muscle cars driving around in the snow for a reason. Way to much power and not enough traction makes for a crappy drive. The best vehicles for driving in the winter are front wheel drive cars with skinny studded tires. I drive a long ways on very crappy roads pretty well everyday and have never been in a ditch and only got stuck once and that was in deep slush. The roads up here have so much salt and gravel put on then i would just never put a nice car through that.
Agreed. The only people who do just want to say: "Look at me, Im driving my exotic car in the snow". Silly.
What's heartbreaking is that the passionate guy who makes 20k or less will never be able to own one. Most of them are the real enthusist that have an appreciation even beyond some of us.
What..I am no longer a non book ready ignorant idiot..now I am silly..LOL My AWD Lambo drives way etter then my GMC AWD Denali in the waether..period and a fact. With the little driving seasons we get here...I try to drive it as much as I can and enjoy it all I can while I am still on this earth. So let that be silly and to each is own...but the last time I looked....silly can go hand in hand with "Fun".
Money to burn like a rapper, or wining the lottery? Who cares. Worked hard, made sacrifices for years, and have the mentality that it's not "just a car" but a very special car, then you won't take chances. It just comes down to appreciation, what comes easy is not appreciated.
I dis-agree with this statment..I worked very hard over the years to get to the point in my life...I appreciate all I have and worked for...I just have no desire to die and be the richest man in the graveyard.. IMO..it comes down to how and what you do with the fruits of your hard labor... I would agree on some cars you just dont do this with, I.E. my Diablo GT or a Countach etc etc..those cars are NOT replaceable...however a production mass produced 640, Gallardo, 670, 458 430 etc etc can easily be replaced..and that is why we carry insurance on them as well. I dont think I would operate a RWD only car, such as a 458, 430 or 550-2 in bad weather..it was not designed for that..IMO..however there are a lot of RWD Porsche cars..many well over the 125K mark being operated in all kinds od weather as well.. Last year my trip from Seattle to Scottsdale in ALL kinds of weather in my 670 was one of the best road trips I have ever had..and the car performed flawlessly..but each has to choose as they wish with there toys they have aquaired. The ONE key thing for me is the application of the correct tires for the season you are operating it in..
Just to be clear, it is YOU who initially made that boastful claim right here on Ferrari-Chat. And truth be told, just reading your rambling, illogical, long-winded, meaningless & redundant posts, its clear your assessment is 100% accurate. Look, at least you are consistent, that much I will grant you anytime.
110% correct...I have not read a book since I cant even remember...big deal.. The name calling I leave totaly up to you..you seem to be good at it..
