After washing the car with the proper Zymol shampoo, the car feels as if it's lost it's wax.

I've used the proper Zymol Synthetic Chamois method as well as the Flash auto-dry ion water method with the same result. Although the Flash suystem seems to take less of the wax off.

    Anyone else have this problem?

If so, what is the best way to keep the Zymol protection cared for?

    Sy,

I was told after DB Valeting done my car that you should only clean it with clean water. Any shampoos will take the wax off. The best way to keep the zymol finish is to keep topping it up regularly

If you have used Zymol wash wax it wont take any wax off m8ty .
The only way you might take wax off is if you use another brand containing petrochemicals sounds very strange.

Did you zymol it yourself or was it done by Dave? Just wondering if the problem was with the application in the first place rather than the washing process.

Surely it doesn't need the full clay bar treatment, with Ray having had it would'nt it just need a quick top up which only takes a couple of hrs ..max.

First application of vintage by Dave and then a top up by me later.

I'm using the Zymol "Clear" shampoo.

"Clear™ is a maintenance car wash containing surface conditioners and protective oils that will remove surface grime yet will not strip off the wax. Clear™ is a unique combination of pure tallow, pure coconut essence oil conditioners and lemon extracts."

I've just checked the car just now. It's not as waxy as it was prior to washing, but more waxy than the time I used the Chamois.

But from now on, no more spending ages leathering the car down. Just going to us the Flash dry-system and take the car for a spin. No water marks on the car. :D

I found the Flash a bit hit and miss. Bought a water de -ioniser from See Red . Will give that a go when car's back.
