365 GTC4 chassis types

    The GTC4 was produced in two different types: F101 AC100 and F101 AC101. Looks like they were both produced at the same time.
    Could someone please explain the differences between them?

    F101AC 100 is LHD.
    F101AC 101 is RHD.

    However looks like some AC101 are LHD: 14801, 14841, 14871

    You are just talking about the ID tags, they are often wrong.
    The below is what matters, the actual stamping on the frame.
    14871 is LHD and stamped F101AC 100.

    The incorrect ID tag of 14871 (and others) also shows the wrong engine type, which should be F101AC000 for LHD and F101AC001 for RHD. That said, at least two early RHD 365 GTC/4 engines were stamped F101AC000.

    It has to show the RHD engine type because it’s a complete correct RHD plaque ;), of course wrong with the LHD VIN
    but that‘s already mentioned by Marcel.
