Well, just finalized new rims/tyres for the 308 (Kinesis K27/Mich Pilot PS2) and awaiting for them to arrive in a few weeks so...

Today i ordered the Brembo 308 front brake kit from www.pelicanparts.com (thanks Fchatter Wayne and Eugene at Pelican Parts!). Did some chatting with my mechanic and Brembo they feel that the adjustable brake biasing is not needed and after looking at the Fchat archives... i can make adjustments by using various brake pad choices (if necessary).

So... anyone have NEW info on using stock rears and Brembo front for brakes on a 308GTS QV? Using the older EBC Green Stuff right now for rear and all brake lines are already steel braided (Goodridge). The Brembo will come with Pagid pads.

It can seem like an illness can't it. I've put nearly as much money into mine as I paid for it and am probably going to go down the suspension path this winter (not to mention some more service and probably a new clutch). If you find a good psychologist wanna shoot me the number??!!!

By the way I thought your last line was going to be...All Help... =Priceless!!

    LOL :)

And if i find the number to a good shrink i'll send it your way.

i feel i have fallen for Italian Car Rule #4

    "4)THE LAW OF PERSONAL ABUSE
"The more an Italian auto breaks down, the more endearing it becomes
to its increasingly irrational owner." For example, you purchase an
Italian Sports car, for all the money you ever hoped to earn, and
receive a ticket for air pollution on the way home from the dealer due
to the vast clouds of smoke that follow you. Several return trips to
said dealer, accompanied by your rapidly dwindling cash reserves,
cures the smoking. But now, the engine sounds like a food processor
full of ball-bearings. After replacing every component in the car,
including the radio speakers, the noise vanishes and is replaced by an
odor reminiscent of a major fire in a goat-hair mattress factory. You
still keep trying, G-d help you."

Actually NONE of the work, besides the 60k major, was necessary. Have been busy making great upgrades :)

The extra grip from your tyres which can now be expoited by your big brakes will put extra strain on your suspension.

In particular, where the inner bushes are tack welded into the arms, you may find they become loose, which can cause total failure.

Be sure your inner bushes are in excellent condition in all three axis and maybe put a few extra tack welds on each one.

Don't be tempted to put a big weld on in one go though, as the heat build up will destroy the flexible material. Do a tack and leave it 30 minutes (do the others), then come back to it.

Agreed that the suspension will need to handle the higher stress, and why i had it completely redone (better bushings, shocks, coils, etc) a few months ago. Basically, i am methodically upgrading the car in a certain order.

    Engine/tranny mods are LAST...
