i currently drive a 996 porsche about 17k mi/yr. mainly highway/rural roads. i don't mind accepting the increased depreciation in order to have more fun.

    Welcome to F-chat.
You sure have the right attitude! Local 355 Conv. owner used his car as daily dariver to his office almost every day, and he said it is most reliable Ferrari he ever had. I hear the same on 328, too.

One thing I would consider is the maintenance service cost.

Mandane commute would be priceless for you. Let us know what you decide after gathering all info.

    the answer is "absolutely".

but bear in mind that you're going to be doing a major service eveyr 24 months if you follow CW. so every two years figure you'll dump $5-$6K in maintenance into the car.

    plus the added depreciation.

but if the operating cost doesn't bug you - ENJOY! life is awfully short.

He said it right there. Make the switch.

355 started the more reliable trend of modern Ferrari too.

It is no problem, but the 355 needs a bit of time in the morning to warm up. Make sure your drive takes more than 10 minutes so the fluids are warm.
