    Got my new hood shocks from Ferrari UK today. They are Sachs/Boge hood shocks with part number 1831BR if anyone needs a cross-reference. I know of at least one fellow I spoke with that needed a set of these, and was told they were out of production.

    Some Carb cars came with one rod that supported the bonnet. My 78' has one long rod in the middle that retracts with a cable.

    Ahhh, I've seen that - I thought that was a "broomhandle" replacement for spent hood shocks. Didn't realize that was stock.
