430 Battery Master Disconnect Switch

    I have the shop manual for my 2007 F430 and it shows the master battery switch where I expect it to be - in the rear right side of the front storage area - copy of that page below.

    But below that picture is one of my car and I see nothing there other than the rubber plug which seems to be glued in place. Do I need to pull out this plug? And where is the handle? Thanks.

    I believe the battery cut-off switch was omitted sometime during the 2007 model year build. The plug merely covers the hole where the switch had been. When was your car built? My 2007 Spider was built in November of 2006 and it has the switch as shown in the manual.

    Mine is a 2008 and it is fitted, just has a rubber cover over it. They stopped giving you the key to operate the switch but a. T40 key will do the job. Note this switch is in the negative line and does not break every negative line as some are direct on the battery terminal

    Not to jack the thread, but what is a T40 key?

    T40 is a size of Tork key. You have allen key sizes, that needs a tork key. Looks star like on the end. When you see it you will recognize it
