El Segundo Power Plant rennovation

Hi all,
Does anyone from the Manhattan beach area, el porto section, have info on the el segundo power plant remodel. I'm considering to bid on a property within a block from the power plant in Manhattan Beach and was concerned about the long term environmental effects of the sound wall, new towers, and removal of the fuel storage tanks. Supposedly a new parking lot will also be added eventually. which would obviously increase traffic down 45th street.

My opinion is the wall will be in your face along 45th whereas the tanks were set back and lower than the street level. The new plant may be noiser than the old & the wall will block ocean views. The new lot may relieve parking conjestion for el porto, but may increase traffic during the summer, bringing in those who frequent the northern beaches by el segundo and the airport.

Any manhattan beach residents imput would be appreciated.
