A Renault on the grid ahead of all the Honda-powered Red Bulls and Toro Rossos.

Small success for Daniel Ricciardo, I know, but I love it !!!

Let's see what the race brings to my favourite Australian.

He would no doubt be driver of the day if he got a podium considering the 3 front runners have far superior cars, plus Max and Bottas will be charging towards the front at a rapid rate.

Nice starting position indeed but hardly on merit I'd say. Piss poor lap from Bottas and no time to do a 2nd, Gasly as usual ****, and Max out due to Kmag crash. Realistically, he'd be 6th on the grid beating just Gasly.

OK, you keep looking at the negative, and I take care of the positive.

I'm very happy with Ricciardo's 4th ^pot on the grid.

I'm very happy with Ricciardo being at the pointy end of the grid, but if we look at the actual facts he has benefited from others' **** ups. And he still would've beat 1 red bull on merit. So not sure what your issue is.

My point is that I am grateful for small mercy, but you would look a gifted horse in the mouth.
