    I just got the horrific news via text that Matt passed away yesterday and I know many of you know him, he was the best guy I’ve ever met if you needed something done to your f car. I’m so sad to relay this info Matt was such an awesome guy

    He used to be at Shelton, then the collection, but recently he had his own shop in cutler bay. He was truly the best tech I’ve ever encountered, he saved me about $10k when I first bought my car by going over diagrams, taking pics, and getting the dealer I bought it from to go back and fix an issue the shop he chose for the major service made a big mistake on. Any other mechanic would’ve just said here is the issue pay me to fix it, he took time to handle emails and got my car fixed for free. I ended up spending $15k with him over the next year on other work just bc I trusted him so much he had carte Blanche from me after. He was such a nice guy, always called me to check on my dad recently, really gonna miss him.

    Matt was a genius, knowledgable, talented, trustworthy and a friend. He worked on my car and my 360 made music. He will be missed very much. My heart is saddened by this loss. My most sincere condolences to his family.

    Yes I remember him now from the Collection - great guy - bought a 360 Spider, a CS, and a 430 Spyder while he was there

    I am in shock..... so incredibly saddened when I learned it over the weekend ....can't believe he is gone...... He was truly an amazing person, and friend for over 15 years.....

    The world, including the Ferrari community, lost a great one..... RIP Matty..... You will be missed so much by so many.....

    I wish I knew any, I recently moved away from Miami to come to Texas while my dad did a lung transplant and recovery. Matt and I would talk often and he’d always ask how my dad was doing. My friend who texted me owns a car dealer in Miami and was a colleague of his but he hasn’t gotten back to me with any service information, I was more interested in any sort of fundraiser for his wife and little kids if any of you hear of one please let me know.

    Found out about Matt's passing earlier in the day from some other industry people. Absolutely amazing man, we lost a very important part of the community.

    So sad.

    Yet another reminder how fleeting life can be. Call your friends and family that are living and tell them all the wonderful, kind things we all say after they are gone. They need to hear it while they are here.

    I've worked with Matt in the past during his time at The Collection. He was a down to earth gentleman with a lot to learn from and great to work with. My condolences to his family and friends.

    I just found this out today through Matt's wife. I was shocked. I did some work for Matt and he helped me out when I was converting my car. What a smart knowledgeable guy. Unbelievable. My condolences to the family and Rest in peace Matt

    Couldn’t believe what happened to Matt. Literally met him the week before he passed. My F430 broke down in my building parking garage. Tim Stanford, referred me to Matt. I spoke to him, he loaded up some tools, and drove to my place. Replaced my battery and found out my F1 Pump was going bad. He told me he was doing epoxy to his shop floors and he couldn’t get my car in tile end of July. He was going to handle the pump and annual service for me. I found out he passed from there. Heard it was fumes from epoxy job or a heart attack. Very sad. Was just starting to deal with him and was happy I found a Ferrari Specialist that was reliable and not terrible Collection service at the dealership. Was shocked hearing what happened and said for his wife, kids, and family.
