I tried for a week, but gave up just on the fact that people who legitimately want one aren’t going to get it
That's why I went for the JLC. Bought it new at the AD, with a healthy discount and a nice experience all round. A 'new' Sub on the secondary market is double the price. Crazy. So I thought what else do i really like and honestly there is a lot of arguably 'better / alternative option' watches out there to try. I love Rolex but I can't be paying twice the list price. I picked up my DB9 for less than a stainless secondhand Daytona. Now looking for the AP ROO which i feel is seriously undervalued
100% agree. When the current fascination with the RO with no complications at all is through, the ROO will have it's day in the sun again.
Unfortunately Rolex and the authorized dealers are playing games to a certain extent. It's possible to get it but it'll take time and more than likely you'll have to buy other non desirable stuff. In the end it becomes cheaper to buy from the gray market. Most of their good stuff goes to their VIP customers and those are the ones killing it.
Remembers me of my late grandfather who used to wear several watches when he was testing their function after repair. I also like the watches (and much more) of the king of cool.
I was just thinking I haven’t seen “JAM1” post in awhile ... hope he’s ok Image Unavailable, Please Login
I’ve been at the ranch for a week. The rule here is, “no jewelry allowed ever on the ranch”. It’s a quick way to lose a finger or hand. But we’re packing up so my 5512 from 1967 is back on my wrist. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
I tried this one on before UK lockdown and really liked it. Not as bright as their other blue ROO REF. #26470ST.OO.A030CA.01. This new reference is more mid blue and I’d wear it as a daily. The olive green reference I tried was also very wearable, and flies more under the radar. The new rubber strap was also very comfortable. The 3rd reference in this series (with the gold bezel) was not available (it is now) and await to see in person before I make a decision on which one to buy. Good luck! Today a diamond dialed 1601 from 1964. Sam (Samantha) could care less, she’s snoozing next to me in my chair while I enjoy a glass of vino and post to you. . Image Unavailable, Please Login

Winter driving trying to reset the ridiculous computer so that it will pass inspection. My third, 10+ mile drive having to hold it under 2800 RPMs the whole time. Pain in the arse getting run over on the highway, in the slow lane, by grannies in 30 year old volvos. Image Unavailable, Please Login
