The car starts like a champ when cold. When it is warm... it is real embarrassing. You have to hold the gas pedal 1/2 way and keep cranking until it finally turns over which is about 3x as long when it is cold. I do have new plugs in there as of last week (NGK). Any thoughts?

    Hello,

Do you have an owners manual? (I don't mean to be rude) There are instructions on cold and warm starting in there.

How old is the battery, spark plug wires, coils, points (if you have them) and all things related to electricity?

I got a new battery and it made a bit difference in cranking and starting.

Still, when it's hot I have to pump the heck out of it (just like when it's cold) the only difference is you DON'T pump before you start cranking.

Good luck and enjoy your ride!!!
