I had a full clear bra put on my 458. some of the clear coat came up during the process. Just a small spot but big enough that i want to correct it. anyone know of a shop that works on ferraris and charges a fair price?

This will be a little tough. The landscape has change in recent years. You might reach out to Greg Theis and see if his brother is still in the game or it he knows anyone.

I know Nick Theis' partner Ted retired. I don't know if Nick is still doing paint or not... those guys did a great job on my 365GT.

I though I heard Nick struck out on his own. I've been out of the game too long.

Thanks. He has painted a number of BMW motorcycles that I was involved with. I hope his retirement is a good one...I worry about any painter from a health standpoint.

Go see Stacy at Artistic Auto Body. Extremely qualified on the aluminum cars and composites with a separate facility from the steel repairs. Does all the work for RTGT and our race team including a lot of our frame work. You will find none better. Price is fair but they wont be the cheapest just the best.

Thanks. I gave Artistic a call and they said they had to repaint the entire panel. I'm sure they are good but this seemed really excessive.

Had a similar issue with my 911, but on two different panels. Both panels were completely stripped and repainted. I don't think you can just feather the clear coat and spray clear on top. Likely end up impacting the paint when trying to remove the damaged clear coat.

If you try to do anything other then fix the whole panel you will see it. If not now it will discolor as it ages. I see it all the time.
