    Hi folks,

Maybe a dumb question… But I was wondering whether the Testarossa ever came with a Ferrari Build/Production plate similar to the one in the pic?

    Thanks,
    Rene

Thanks…. That’s actually what I thought. It’s just that my 328 (EU car) has a plate whilst the TR hasn’t.

On EU cars, the plate should be located in the engine compartment, on the right side of the engine.

My car also doesn't have one (Japan import) - I'm getting on made.

What plate are you referring to on the 328?

All the cars got a lot of plates. Doesn't mean one is a replacement for the other.

Ferraris on different markets were getting different sets of plates. EU cars have different plates, US-spec cars have a different set, so does JDM cars and probably other as well.

EU cars do not get the federal US plate for obvious reasons - instead, they get EU-spec homologation plate and EU-spec build plate, which is more of a VIN / weight plate, as it does not contain the actual build month and year, as US one.

This is a complete EU-spec 512TR set, removed from a car undergoing a full restoration:

and the sign below says 150926
what does those numbers tell us?
could it be the parts number of the sign? typical 6 digits, but if I look for those numbers nothing appears
