    I recently took the mag.wheels from my 512 bbi to have them powder coated ,after the shop cleaned them and applied the base coat the coating lifted,the shop tried 2 more times and gave up.Has anyone else had a problem like this?

    I know that special procedures have to be followed to take the paint off of Mg; I think the key is to leave the old primer on for painting. SImilar concerns may exist for powder coating, are they experienced with the metal?

    I dont' know the details of what you have to do, I've just seen it mentioned here on Fchat in other threads. Maybe someone on here that knows would like to retype it all for you. Since I don't know, I can't.
