I have been offered a "patinated" original wood 206 wheel, with hub, horn, and alloy surround. Pictures are one thing , reality is another as we all know. The horn ring appears faded in the script, you can read Dino, but no color inside the perimeter of the script. Any thoughts on what it may be worth? For one, I do not own a 206, and I assume there aren't many without a 'proper wheel'. Strictly a 'collector' item. Thank you all. Regards, Alberto
Dear Alberto Difficult question but here is a NEW OLD STOCK 206 wheel (repro i guess) for strong money. Doesnt quite look right to me compared to the dino compendium. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ferrari-Dino-246-Steering-Wheel-Wood-Nardi-Original-MOMO-DINO-Horn-Button-N-O-S/124118878963?hash=item1ce60fcaf3:g:Tq8AAOSwQblc2TM- Best Tony
Alberto, I bought a correct 206 steering wheel years ago, I don't recall how much it was but it was expensive (thousands). I will send some photos, be careful.... Andrew
Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login here you can see the differences. The original wheel doesn’t expose the alloy rim and isn’t riveted. Also note the differences to the horn button.
The Nardi is quite lovely, albeit the wrong one. I am looking for the real Mc Coy. Thank you all... If anyone knows of one for sale please advise. Kind regards, Alberto
