About a month ago, Tillman asked about a good primer for aftermarket EFI. In that thread, jeffdavidson mentioned that he'd just bought this book off eBay. Well, I just got my copy from Amazon, and WOW, this is a terrific book.

TONS of information... lots of theory, lots of hands-on practical how-to info, very current ((c) 2003), every page is a glossy color one, lots of text, lots of color photos, lots of charts, tables, graphs, etc. Very very good book.

Even photos of a few cool Ferrari projects from Norwood.

Here's a table of contents so you can get an idea:

    1) Understanding Fuel Delivery
    2) Understanding Automotive Computers and PROMs
    3) Sensors
    4) Actuators and Actuator Systems
    5) Hot Rodding EFI Engines
    6) Recalibrating Factory ECUs
    7) Interceptors and Auxiliary Computers
    8) Standalone Programmable Engine Management Systems
    9) EMS/EFI Engine-Swapping
    10) Roll-Your-Own EFI
    11) Installation and Startup Issues
    12) Designing, Modifying, and Building Intake Manifolds
    13) EMS Tuning 101
    14) EMS Troubleshooting
    15) Emissions and Onboard Diagnostics

Each of the remaining 11 chapters covers a different project vehicle in varying levels of detail. Everything from a 2 pages on a basic turbo'd small-block Chevy to 20 pages on a super-and-turbocharged v6 MR2. There's a really cool tri-turbo Jaguar XKE 4.2 too.
