Converting Word to Publisher

I am attempting to convert a Word document to Publisher. The Word document contains some photos. When I import it to Publisher all of the text shows up but some of the pictures are missing. When I try and copy and paste the pictures it screws up the entire Publisher document. It either puts the pictures somewhere other then where I am trying to paste them or shifts the text.

Is there a way to convert this Word document to Publisher without losing the pics during conversion?

A little help for the computer idiot would be greatly appreciated.
