Here we go.I love the ferrari influence in the headlight's and cant' wait to see it in person.
definatly see the ferrari looks in it in more than jsut headlights but also ina side view of the new C6 and the 575 M together the Vette looks a little similar. But of course not nearly as good. but having a vette i love vettes and i love the way this new one looks.I also heard somewhre (might not be true) but instead of jstu a Z06 and Regular C6 ther also gtonna bring back the Grand Sport. taht would be aweasome
Much better than the C5, cant wait to see the Z06. My favorite Vettes are the earky C3 big blocks, C2s, C4s, & the Bill Mitchell Stingray racer Cant wait to see the new convertible Schwing!!!!!
ive heard quite a bit about the new 'vette. supposedly the base model will have around 425 horse and the upcoming Zo6 or other high performance model will have a 6 litre 500 horse motor with variable cam timing. it is also rumored that the weight will drop from 3100 or so LBS to around 2900, which would make it about 50 lbs away from the s2000. cant wait to see what comes of this.
I see Ferrari headlights, Maserati hood, POrsche lower bumper cover, Mustang door, and old school vent rear window
It looks like the front-end of a 3000GT/Camaro/Viper, mated with the rear-end of a Corvette. Looks rather disappointing, to me. But, I should reserve judgment until I see it in person.
The front fenders & headlights are very 360 while the rear haunches are very 550. Much nicer than the C5 Mazda RX7 rip off, WTF were those designers thinking?!!?
i agree, i can definitely see some NSX in there... The headlights are definitely reminiscent of a 360 or a 550, as well... 'Vettes are power monsters, lately... They never caught my eye with looks, but they sure are cars to reckon with...
I agree a 100% with your thoughts. I hope they get rid of the Rubber Maid interior it should be hell of a car.
It's fascinating to see how different people's "tastes" are! Personally, I think the styling on this is awful - not an original line or curve to be found. Viper+3000GT+360/575 (especially the headlight cluster). I much prefer the C5. Then again, that's just imho and I totally respect all of yours. At least the horsepower wars seem to be back in full swing
I think it's outstanding. From what I read the car is a blend of Euorpean and Japanese styling. Regardless of the opinions the car is American made and not many of the cars mentioned will be able to keep up with it. It would made a excellent daily driver.
More pics here. The interior is horrible.A like the C5 interior much better based on the pic here. The exterior I like except for the lower grill area which ruins the car.Maybe it will grow on me though. http://community.webshots.com/album/106016140hpPGSI
Nice link. I like the exterior a lot. It's hard to tell on the interior, but I don't like the steering wheel.
The fronts not bad the rear bumper is 100% better than the C5's Fat lumpy dumpy A. The haunches are pure 550 & the front fender profile reminds me of my 68 Vette. I still have to see 1 in person but I think I like my 93 roadsters looks better
Looks like a new Nsx and late model 3000gt mated with a c5. No matter how good they looking they make it (not saying this is good looking as i dont particularly like it) they will be a dime a dozen.
That crease is actually reminiscent of the C2's... the side defining lines, I gaurantee it did not come from a 550. The lines from the door into the rear, that haunched look.
Here's a photo of my old C5 coupe. Bringing back memories and showing the importance of backround for good photos.. Happy holidays..
