Yo Vik, You presence on the 997 cab and regular 997 threads, lead me to believe, you really want one. Maybe time to just step up and get one
It's a beautiful car. As for buying one, all in good time... As you'll agree, though, a major aspect of any automobile purchase involves diligence on the car. And what better way to do so, than to hang out on the boards that owners and other prospectives frequent.
That's a test mule, as indicated by the rims. The pic above (and the resized ones below) are the real deal. Resized pics: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just don't like the Carrera cabrio's.... but I LOVE the narrow-bodies (not Turbo, 4s, et al) coupes!
Hey Vik, I just caught this thread. The cab looks pretty good and the one pictured here is the exact color combo I would go for if I moved to the 997 from the 993. Love the Dark Blue with Blue top and dark interior. Maybe you and I should order 2 and make a "special deal" with the folks at JD?! I may actually head by JD today to get the scoop on the CGT they have on the floor.
It's a great color combination Eric. Let me when you go to JD. I want to take the car to John to get it waxed and I've got to pass right by JD to get there.
Are you going to head out here today to Celebrity Auto Spa? If so, let me know what time works best for you and we'll coordinate. If not today, then I'll wait for you to head over to JD.
the new 997s look like a cross between a 993 and a 996...timeless styling...perhaps, but beautiful, not for my taste....in person, side by side with a 996, the 997 looks very similar...it does drive better and has better ergonomics....but i still wasnt excited enough to go ou t andbuy the coupe... i hope they improve the structural rigidity of the cab i n the 997 vs the 996, which i though had a tad too much flex and cowl snake
