I recently removed the air injection system from my 308. I had the replacement plugs C&C machined from stainless with the proper nib on the end to prevent whistling from the exhaust. They are gorgeous.

I have an extra set of eight plugs available. They are available for $100.00 plus shipping to anyone who wants them.

    Thanks,
    Stacy

    Stacy,

I'm interested in the plugs to do the same work this winter.

    Can you send/post a picture?

Also, where did you get your specifications for the plugs?

Do you have yours installed yet?

And... Are you using washers as well when you install them?

    Thanks,

    --Mike

I got the specs from S. Magnusen's article. Mine are in and they fit perfectly. I did use copper sealing washers that I bought from ferrari UK for a few cents each. You could probably re-use the ones that are already on your injectors. If you search the old archives you will find pictures of the plugs. They are exactly like the ones that others have had made. I will work on a digital pic but it wil take a few days. (I don't have a camera).

A word of caution. It is an absolute pain in the ass to get the old injectors out of the front bank without removing the header or the engine. It is possible, and I will tell you how, but it is a ***** and requires destroying the air injection manifold (mine had a hole in it anyway).

    Stacy,

Plesae email me offline (click "Profile" under this post, then "Send Mike Procopio an Email").

I'll be pulling the engine this winter for some gearbox work, so I figure then is a good time to get the plugs in :).

    Thanks,

    Stacy,

No need to worry about the digital pic.

Do you have the part number handy for the copper washers from Ferrari UK?

    Steve,

    Sorry about the spelling error.

    Mike,

The part number for the washers is 100511.

    Steve,

Do you think it would be worthwhile posting your article and diagram in the parts & service section? Maybe there would be a copyright issue. Just a thought.

FYI, Ferrari UK does sell this washer... About $0.50 each. The part number is superceded by p/n 10280060.

    Hi All,

I've investigated Stacy's plugs thoroughly, and they're solid. That said, I wanted to say that I haven't purchased these exhaust plugs and that they're still available.

More information on the plugs (including info Steve M.'s excellent article on the subject) can be found in the FerrariChat archives.
