If one increases the overall diameter of the front in relation to the rear, does this promote understeer, while having a taller tire in the rear in relation to the front promote oversteer?

    Thanks.

It could create either understeer or oversteer depending upon a whole bunch of factors. However, if the rolling radius is not altered more than 0.25" out of the 26" diameter, you remain inside the window where the suspension was orriginally tuned.

The way to alter the oversteer/understeer relationship is with ride height or with section width. Lowering the rear promotes understeer, raising the rear promotes oversteer. Wider rear tires promote understeer, wider front tires promotes oversteer. Try real hard to keep the original rolling radii,
