    Local restaurant here in DC hired a sign spinner to stand by the speed camera outside to warn people. City tried to make him stop but it’s aparently legal, so after a few days (and no revenue generating tickets) the city carted it away.

    I used to live just inside the Beltway on the MD side when I worked for FEMA, so I know exactly what you're talking about. Plus, I worked a HUD contract in NOLA, so I get that reference too!

    I hope Leonia has a hefty legal budget set aside to defend themselves against the inevitable litigation. It will be interesting to hear their legal theory in denying access to public roads, particularly those constructed/maintained with public funds (taxes or muni bonds).
