My wife and I are heading to Vegas next month for a long weekend. I'm wondering if there are any "Do not miss" sites for a Ferrari Fan in Vegas. I have rented a 348 spider for one of the days so that will keep us busy driving around. Are there any locations that would be a fun drive in a 348?

    Thanks in advance,

    Pat

The only 'do not miss' place for me in Vegas is Delmonicos Steak House in the Venentian....

The Belagio (sp?) great place. Look for the Car museum that Steve Winn has.

Shelby autos is not offerning any tours now so they are off the map but there are other places to see.. The highway loupe out to red rock and back is a great drive but watch for speed traps..

One of the best drives here is out to the Hoover Dam then around Lake Mead. Stopping at the Ritz or the Hyatt at Lake Las Vegas is fun for a lunch stop. Are you renting the 348 from DreamCarRentals?

Since my 348 went away in 2002 :( I've been getting my Ferrari fix by renting this one every few months. It's a little rough around the edges but it is a ton of fun. The folks a DCR are great!

Yeah they said they have a yellow and red one. What do you mean by rough around the edges? Should I stay away from the Yellow 348? How is it dealing with them? Do they just scare the crap out of you or what? I would imagine they check the car over with a fine tooth comb when you bring it back.

I have rented the yellow 348 spider from DCR in the past. The car shows interior wear and the engine was dirty. The only problem, very minor, was a broken strap that limits the drivers door from swinging open too far. Otherwise the people at DCR are very easy to deal with. They really don't hastle you about the condition of the car upon return. They just give it a quick once over and your on your way.

That's cool. I'm starting to get more and more pumped up about this as the days go by. It will be my first ride and drive in a Ferrari.

The people at DCR are really friendly. They are helpful and never intimidate you. Be sure to bring a copy of an insurance card for one of your cars at home and yoll be good to go. They love it if you take pictures while you have the car and they post them in the office. The Yellow one runs good. The interior is a little worn out but the mechanicals have worked fine. As I understand it has had a service since I had it last so It should be even better. They also have a red 355 that is very nice. You're gonna love it! :)

Looks good. Thanks for the info. It should be a blast. By the way on avg how many miles did you run the car? I think they give you what 75 or 100 free then it is 1.00 a mile after that.

Does DCR have the red one with the F355 wheels on it? If so, i have seen it in a video with someone that rented it.

Let's just say the excess mileage was a little pricey, but once you're in the car driving they could charge you $5 a mile and you wouldn't care!!

Besides there are much more expensive things to do here, you could be in the casino ;)
