    Is there something special about a Ferrari alternator? I took my suspect aternator to a local alternator rebuilder. After reinstalling the unit, the alternator stops charging enough when it starts getting hot. Are there special heat resistant parts the Ferrari unit, or is it just another alternator? Mine is a Nippondenso. Also, is the regulator internal (in the alternator) or external on the early F355?
