There is still room to make my race sim more realistic...
    :)

Did you guys hear about the Arrows F1 that was sold for about 15k in an auction because nobody was paying attention?

I was near tears when I heard that. Heck I buy the chassis alone for that money and throw in the engine of my own car and paint the sucker red. Darn.

I don't have any details, but I believe it was just a few weeks ago in an auction in Florida perhaps?

At any rate they had an Arrows F1, I believe ex Damon Hill and it came on at an odd late hour when everybody had already left. So the guy who got it, paid allegedly $ 15k for it and took it home. With everything on it, including engine. He is planning on flipping it for about 300k.

I think I've actually seen an ad of that car before the auction. Never thought it would go for that little.

This is only via a friend of a friend, so not sure it really is true. But it sure made me feel bad. Too late now.

    Mickb,

I signed up for your website only to find out, that the Ferrari F1 fuel cell was no longer avail.
    :(

    Wax,
I got an update on the F1 car: It was a Barret Jackson auction and the car had no engine but everything else. Still for 14k you got a super steal. Heck, I'd throw an old Chevy V8 in it and hit the track.

There are a number of us involved , all racing people who work in the industry so we know just how much stuff is kicking arround the back of workshops the world over. Time to find new owners for it.

Keep looking back in about 10 days, I expect a load of 360 NGT stuff back on there.

    Mick
