I'd be glad to help. If you go with the racedeck, it basically doesn't matter what the existing floor looks like, it goes right on top of the old floor. The website has some good 'before and after' pictures. The mini that you see in our section has a supercharger and 200 HP at the wheels.

We're still setting up the Ferrari Chat page for our website.

    :)

Just curious if anyone has seen this product installed? Anyone have it in their garage?

If you have...can you post any pics?

    Thanks,

If car is parked wet or if oil is spilled during service will water or oil get trapped underneath or are the joints sealed? Is mildew or mold a problem?

There are drain channels underneath, it will run out from below. You'd have to get a pretty good flood to get between the cracks, though, they fit pretty tightly together.

If you get a major spill of some sort, you can remove the section of floor affected and clean underneath (powerwasher, whatever) and snap it back in place.

I sold some to a bodyshop not too long ago for the floor of a paint booth. We painted one of the tiles with the paint gun, let it dry overnight, and the paint powerwashed right off. Oil, brake fluid, etc, isn't going to hurt it a bit.

the joints are definitely not sealed, mark, stuff will get under there and it will be non-trivial to access/clean.

i used kiwi tile in my garage, and they have (as does race deck, i believe) a "perforated" product that is not solid (see image below). it's an open grid. this is especially useful (imo) in new england, since we drag so much nastiness into the garage in the winter.

each spring i vaccuum it with my shop vac to suck up the sand and whatnot that gets through it; and then scrub it with soap and water to get the white clean (see the next picture).

i considered the solid product but thought it'd be a major liability with the snow mess. when all that snow melts it'll collect under the tiles and evaporate a lot more slowly without the air circulation. it just seemed like a huge possible mistake.

Most garage floors (by code) slope to the exit. There is a free flow product, but if you're just talking about water, it absolutely will drain to the exit. Its not going to trap or hold any water underneath it. If you have mud/ salt/ ash/ whatever, you can either mop it out or hose it out.
