Okay PPG Mondial t Pacecar fans. Step up!

I'm not sure this is a legit ad.

This car was bought by a Northwest (Seattle) collector at an auction in Europe when the car was released by the factory and as far as I'm aware, it's still in his collection.

This question should be posted in the Northwest section to confirm if it is truly for sale...

its sort of a mondial meets 456 (rear deck) meets 550 (hood scoop) meets testarossa (strakes) meets maser qp (nose) meets i dont konw what.

 

And all those "meetings" are welcome to take place in my garage

The PPG Mondial is most definately for sale, the price listed is not correct however, This car along with a few others from the collection are for sale, anyone wanting more details can contact me, I've been in contact with the owners rep.

+1, I just checked and indeed it is most definitely is for sale by the owner. I just spoke with Walter Gerber who maintains the collection for John and told me he would be happy to speak with any interested parties that have questions about the cars.

The collection is stored in the same building with Walters shop, and this is all just down the hill from where I live.

 

Thanks guys for confirming that the car is genuinely for sale. It (the ad in ferrariads) just looked fishy to me...

As for the car, only one was made. There was a full-scale mock up that was retained by the design company "I.D.E.A."

I always liked this car. When I found out John had it and when the Northwest club had a garage tour there, I couldn't miss seeing it... How often does one get to see a modern-day factory prototype in the flesh?

 

I am a little perplexed as to why the ad I placed on FerrariAds looks "fishy." My associate, who knows the owner personally, told me about the car. I suggested that we advertise the car on Ferrari Chat and I helped him find the info and images for the ad. The price in the ad is absolutely correct. A lot of car owners do not want to get involved in the selling process which is why they use brokers such as myself. The market for this car is narrow since it cannot be registered for road use in the US. To my mind, it is a real, one-off collector Ferrari that doesn't cost seven figures.

Cool car! Hard to tell but from the one picture the overall body shape (especially in the rear) is somewhat reminiscent of the 360/430/458 series of V8 Ferraris.

Hmmm....maybe I should dig up the article on this car from Car Styling - great article tons of pictures describing construction, features, etc.
