Enjoy this my brothers! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VEO269zoEI&feature=player_embedded[/ame] Viva Mondial! Jay Image Unavailable, Please Login
No I was not! We did just get out of the pits! You can tell the Mondi was going super fast. The blue tape on the lenses was getting blown off by my incredible speed through the esses! lol!
That is exactly why I shipped the car to Florida so that I could bring her to PBIR, because they do allow cabs without rollbars in GT class at Cavallino, which is not the competition/racing classes. Strongly recommend everyone try this once. It was only on Friday that I truly understood what a thoroughbred the Mondial is. Really impressive driving experience and so much fun. I chuckle every time I watch that video. And I have been watching it over and over. Totally awesome time.
so great to see!! I've been driving here in san diego with guys with 348's, 355's and a few 430's and I've been keeping pace. Just wait till I get my modern rubber!!
My buddy Tom who is sitting shotgun with me was impressed with the grip of the Kumho's on my Mondial around the curves. And despite the previous three years (or 14K miles) of use plus these track shenanigans, I still have more than 50% tread remaining on those all season tires. Pretty good IMHO!
Hi Jay, did you have to modify your 3.2 in any way for track requirements? btw, I replied to your PM. Cheers ! -Mike
My car is basically original, except for the major service and one replaced ignition coil. The technical support tightened my lug nuts, checked the tire pressure, checked my tire tread, made sure I had z-rated tires, checked the brake fluid ( and the engine oil at my request ), and off I went. Thank you for the pic buddy. Love my new avatar!
And I was worried about you! Looks like you did better than most would have first time on the track. How did you fair at the Saturday concorso? Cheers
Awww mannn, I was totally impressed that you drove down there, but I wasn't going to say anything until you got home, just in case....Oh well, looked great on the track and the sound of the four cars in unison was awesome!! P.S. why was the back seat empty??? Dave
