Vettel’s latest “astonishing” error only piles on more pressure

Sebastian Vettel's clash with Max Verstappen in the British Grand Prix was the latest in the growing list of high-profile errors the Ferrari Formula 1 driver has made in battle.

On a weekend where he was already being noticeably outperformed by team-mate Charles Leclerc, Vettel was attempting to reclaim the third place he had just lost to Verstappen when he rear-ended the Red Bull driver at Club, putting Max in the gravel and damaging the nose of his own car.

Verstappen was able to recover to fifth, while Vettel – who required a pitstop the following lap – was classified 16th when a 10-second time penalty for the incident, which he accepted blame for, was applied.

Edd Straw and Scott Mitchell join Glenn Freeman to discuss the collision, but also take a closer look at Vettel's struggles with the 2019 Ferrari, and how Leclerc appears to be gaining a foothold in the team now he has settled in at Maranello.
