See All the Ferraris at the Boardwalk Spring Concorso

Another year, another fantastic experience.

This year’s Spring Concorso began on a chilly morning with wind gusts up to 20mph out of the north! That of course was no deterrent for dozens of Ferrari owners and even more enthusiasts. Boardwalk Ferrari provided plenty of space for the F cars and the fans, as well as plenty of indoor space to take a break from the cold. Here’s a recap of the cars, the award winners, and the experience as a whole.

From the very start, the Boardwalk Spring Concorso was busy and entertaining. Many of the cars had already been staged, but we got there just before two LaFerraris showed up, and one of them was a 70th anniversary Aperta. The video below shows the whole scene at the start of the event!

If anyone thinks that the next generation doesn’t care about Ferrari, then how do you explain all of the aspiring youtube stars that invaded Boardwalk with their cameras and swag? Jokes aside, generation YouTube showed up in waves, but not as much as true Ferrari fans that quickly filled up the showroom to watch the end of Formula 1 qualifying. Leclerc and Vettel taking the top pole positions resulted in a hearty cheer from the crowd.

Indoors was fun and warm, but the cool stuff was really outside. All together, I would guess 75 or more Ferrari’s showed up. In addition to the LaFerraris, special editions, Enzo, and 488 Challenge car featured in the previous video, there was an entire separate parking lot with even more Ferraris.

Being up close with such beautiful machines made enduring the wind a breeze… ;) But you could only point and stare for so long before your hands went numb. Luckily, Boardwalk provided a tasty Texas BBQ meal from Rudy’s in the warmth. Needless to say, lunch was delicious, and not long after Awards were given out.

Some highlights of the winners include…

Best Vintage V8: 328 GTS

Best Special Edition: LaFerrari Aperta 70th Anniversary

Best in Show: TDF

As expected, it was a great time, and truth be told, the coolest car was hidden the whole time. In the owner’s lounge, away from youthful fingerprints, there resided a Ferrari 365 GTS. It won the Best Vintage V12 award, and you can see photos of the rare Ferrari below. And for more photos, along with everything else about the event, visit this thread.
