Offered for sale by Private Owner is a very rare car on North American soil. 1989 Lamborghini Countach Anniversario Downdraft Carburated ~ This is a 25th Anniversary Lamborghini Countach with the highly sought after, Downdraft Carburated V12 Engine. Known as Quattrovalvole this 4 valve per cylinder produced the highest horsepower output of any Countach at 455HP. All Anniversary cars sold in North America had the restricted, Fuel Injected version and produced a 420 hp output. No other naturally asperated/carbed V12 of the era produced more power. This is the king of the old school Icons. This car is KLA12002. Sold new in Arabia with a delivery date of 30-3-1990, it was believed to have gone to Royalty in the requested Bianco Perlato (Pearl White) paint. The car has been a Canadian citizen for approx 10 years. I have personally owned the car for 7 years. Previous to me, it was in the care of a mechanical engineer that lovingly owned and sorted the car. While virtually completely original, the car runs exceptionally well and once warm the 6 - 2 barrel Weber Carbs and 5 speed gearbox operate in perfect working order. Only regular maintenance has been performed in my care. The car has never needed anything and operates extremely reliably. I have put about 5-6000 km on car. This is my 3rd Lambo and 2nd Countach and I have driven virtually every version and the Anniversary is clearly the nicest version to drive while the Carbed powerplant is superior to enjoy and listen to. The exhaust is original as I can tell and sounds magnificent. I am happy to discuss the few minor imperfections the car has and the incredible opportunity this car represents. I do not know of any Downdraft Carbed cars in the Anniversario variant existing in North America save for one other car I have driven. This is the real deal and priced extremely well. Here is a video feature I did on the car when hosting a Collector Car TV show. http://youtu.be/V4zeeAtwMSw Call me directly at 403-804-9928 Jeff Price: $495,000 U.S Funds Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks. This is the ultimate Lambo for me, but there is a bucket list and I am not the collector that some on here are so something's gotta give!
I saw this car in person at an event in Billings, Montana. It is absolutely stunning. Best of luck with the sale. (I expect there will be a great deal of sellers remorse after it leaves)
That was a great trip and it solidified how reliable that car is! Some great drives and experiences then for sure!
I have seen this car in the flesh and it is a 100% original untouched DD Countach. Amazing example. Its the only Countach that I've ever seen that looks like it came fresh out of the factory. The leather and paint look amazing. My question is since it is serial number 002, is there a serial #001? Usually Serial number 001 is a prototype car. Could this car be the first production Anniversario?
Clearly you don't know what you are talking about. Most of the Anniversaries were carbed with only the North American cars being Fuel Injected and down on power...
at the price listed here ,given the values these days , your clean DD was quite a nice deal to have. Whoever bought it knew what he was looking at... Sorry to see you sell it.
WOW... that was fast. It is an exceptional example. Really, I'm not surprised it was scooped up so quickly.
