    Bart,
How about coming on the Enzo Drive? It will be fun. Feb 8th is the date - spaces are filling up quickly...

Btw, if you want Ortega, FCA is having their annual drive on Feb 29th... I went on the drive last year... if parade driving is your thing then you should go.

FDC represented 23 of their 65 cars last year. Based on my experience, though, I'm not sure I will be attending again this year. Plus, I don't even have a car!

Ortega nothing.. its a great cruising road. Palomar is more technical and can be cruised at moderate pace, certainly nothing like track driving but as best as normal roads get! Worth checking out, Ortega is 30 minutes from the really good stuff. I can provide you a map with turn by turn directions, around 100+ miles start to finish.

74 to the 15 to the 76 to the 79 which takes you back to the 15, the 5, and eventually Carlsbad/Oceanside. From the start of the 74 and the 5, its almost 200 miles back to the start, 50 miles of it freeway, the rest back roads/scenic roads and canyon roads.

Sunny, I'll run with ya ... give me a week's head up or so. I'm itching to try my new brakes ... cryo-treated, cross drilled Brembos (F) and Ates (R) with PBR Metal Master pads ... metal to metal has such a wonderful sound!

I usually rally at the Pala casino on the 76, head up the mountain and then down to Julian (Santa Ysabel) for killer apple pie, then back home via the 78 ... to the beach.

The palomar observatory is really neat. Also a fun drive, did it a couple years ago with the Alfa club. Would love to do it again some time.

Hey Cannoli, Have you tried out that NXT yet??

I tried it on my alfa, with good results. Just waiting to find some time when I can do a proper job on my 308GT4.

I'm trying to get Mike Phillips to set up a NXT Ferrari day, but he's a bit slow in getting back to my e-mails.

THREAD HIJACK: Would that be Meguiers NXT?

If it is, I tried it on my Black NSX with amazing results, really deep gloss. It gave the deep look of a non-clearcoat paint. I found the trick was that if your paint has been neglected to NOT use the product sparingly and really work it in (I did by hand). I did the whole, wash with Dawn, clay, wash with Dawn again, wax scenerio. Amazingly product, even when you apply it heavy, it STILL does not leave white powder, just as the labeling says!

    Good stuff, and cheap!

Yep. It seems pretty good. Meguiars had a NXT day for some mercedes owners last week, and it was a lot of fun/informative. I am trying to set one up with the Ferrari guys. As soon as I hear back from Mike at Meguiars...

Dom ... pasta not al dente yet ... I haven't tried the Meguiar's NXT Wax yet, completely. I clayed the front of the car at the clinic (it came out sooooo smooth) and I'd like to do the rest of the car before I apply a full body coat (multiple coats actually) of NXT. I did try some on the hood, and it sure looks purrty ...

It sure was a blast at Meguiars ... and the goodie bag was amazing!

    Ciao
