Well, I first saw Fchat while searching for something Ferrari related. That is the first I can remember seeing the name Ferrarichat so I checked that option in the poll.

Next, a friend who collects Ferraris(not a member) mentioned the site to me while we were smoking a cigar.

Finally, I started checking Fchat out. I lurked for many months before joining.

    Dr. Tax, LMAO!!

I heard about F-Chat from several of the great guys at Steve Harris Imports in SLC. Researching cars, technical advice, parts; they said this was the place. Low and behold, they were right.

When I was looking for information to buy my car I typed in "Ferrari" on Yahoo, and Ferrarichat was part of what the search found.

Been a member of FerrariList mailing list for years, saw some mentions of Fchat and figured I'd check it out. I've been reading the chat now for several months, but just started posting on the new software.

LOL, makes me wonder why I pay almost twice as much to advertise in Cavallino as Forza. Oh yea, it's the longest running Ferrari magazine and is awesome for historical stuff. However, doesn't seem like we're getting many users from it. :)

Likewise... I was getting frustrated with the Ferrarilist drivel/noise completely swamping the good content (which there was)... I found FerrariChat a refreshing change.

I heard it mentioned in FerrariForum.net and I sauntered over. Got answers to my questions a lot quicker so I stuck around to see what the commotion was all about. :)

    Cheers

Even though Ive loved Ferraris for as long as I can remember, a year or so back I saw a Ferrari in public and it rekindled my curiosity in them. It was at a valet parking booth, started and revved its engines, and then peeled out. What a sound :)

So, curious, I searched the internet for Ferrari stuff and found this website through www.dogpile.com

After I bought my 355, my wife got tired of hearing about it 24/7 so I surfed google for Ferrari sites. My first foray here was extremely disappointing however, I must have shown up on a bad day because it was a back-biting nasty flame war filled with vindictive personal insults.
I didn't come back for a few months but gave it another shot, glad I did!

I go all the way back to expensivecar.com... I remember when Rob posted his message inviting everyone to check out his new site! Good thing I joined because in Jan. 2001, EC.com shut down the board... Never found out why though...

Here's the first message I ever posted at EC.com:

    http://ferrarichat.com/expensivecar/00000659.htm

I've been searching for the last while and I can't find Rob's FC invitation, Bret's first message (although I think I may have stumbled on one of his, but there was no author name. I remember one could post annonymously there...), etc...

Rob, did you save any of that stuff?
