Hi, just wondering how many of you are collecting BBR Models (or Ilario/MG/AG/Gasoline)? I think it is nicer to buy 1 nice BBR model then 3 or 4 ugly Mattel models. Thats just how I think about it, what is you thought about it? Ciao, Roel
i don't have pics yet of my BBRs, but here's some others i have done for clients: http://community.webshots.com/scripts/editPhotos.fcgi?action=viewall&albumID=53346871 http://community.webshots.com/scripts/editPhotos.fcgi?action=viewall&albumID=82198419 http://community.webshots.com/scripts/editPhotos.fcgi?action=viewall&albumID=72242818 shortly i'll start my f2003ga victory vignettes. i'll be making 10 of them based on the 1/43 MATTEL HW F2003. i use white metal figurines hand painted in oils. if interested contact me at [email protected]
BBR does a great job with the building. However there 24th scale kits are getting sloppy. I am a dealer for BBR and ordered 12 of there 24th scale 360GT's. 10 kits came in with broken parts, 8 of them were broken bodies. The bodies that were not broken had warped roofs. All were missing a metal plate that goes below the rear diffuser. Then I had to wait about 6 months to get some of the replacement parts. And I'm still waiting. Not to mention the replacemnet bodies were all warped. I like the builts and the 43rd kits sell very well. But I'm not getting anymore 24th kits. Just not worth the hassle. I collect 1:43 Ferraris... some are Minichamps, Herpa, Vitesse, Bang, Best, Art Models, and yes a few BBRs. I love them and wish I could afford more of the BBRs. ED - I may contact you if you have any 1:43's for sale. I have a growing "wish-list". regards, Greg
http://community.webshots.com/user/jjryder try this link....scroll past the military items and you'll come to my 1/43 pieces.....yes, i do this professionally...
wow. Those are some nice models. Would you consider building a 1/43'rd for me? Do you charge a fee? Prehaps you could pm me. Thanks
Hello Greg, I have some in stock, its always changing. I have a bunch of 550's from 02 and 03 seasons and some 360's. If I can help you find something feel free to contact me. My webpage is www.islandcollectibles.net Hey JJRYDER, very nice work! Ed IC, Inc
I collect these 15 models over 3 years, so it's like 5 per year. Also, some of the models are bought directly from BBR so it's way cheaper than ebay. e.g. the yellow enzo on red leather is only $200, but on ebay its over $500. And the middle F300 X-Wing is $200, but on ebay its $400. In fact, a lot a lot of people collect way more minichamps and mattels that may cost a lot more than my collection. So it depends on how you look at it.
kescape, a very nice collection. i notice that you have a monza 2001 black nose....i have the kit and am working on it right now....it is in a word......superb!
Thank you. The black nose is one of my favorite because of its special meaning. I just received the F300 X-Wing yesterday and it is the best built model I have ever seen from BBR. They nicely reproduced the dirt and oil after the race. Do you know that all the F1 models built by BBR will not have Marlboro decal anymore? It's kinda sad.
yeah...i heard that too......fortunately i'll be able to have MARLBORO decals produced for me as i am going to do my schumacher victory vignettes with the HW MATTEL f2003ga....i'd considered doing either the TAMEO or BBR version of the cars, but since i am doing a run of 10 or so and i am a 1 man operation, it just won't be cost effective for me....i'll do the BBR for MY collection!...
BBR does a 308 GT4 which I think is discontinued? I've seen it on ebay run upwards of $200 That is really the only GT4 model I've ever seen that is worth collecting.
There is one on ebay that didn't sell. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3578497215&category=7313 It looks very nice. looks like the 288. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, there was. There were three issued from BBR - Red (most common), blue (same color as Marconi Museum car) and black. Blue and black have been spotted before (and I didn't buy the blue when I had the chance), but red was the most popular. It was also issued in kit form (make it any color you want) but I haven't seen the kit available either.
Hello Jay, we have opened a "miniatures" area at www.dinogt4register.com Here you will find a lot of gt4 models. (comming up more soon) Ciao, Roel
