If you cant wait, Cavallino Models (one of FChat sponsors) can make you a red Anson model, but it is a GTS. Looking at your profile picture, I think you you would be happier with the Kyosho. It is red and a GTB. john roberts (Jr328gtb) Karting Username: Jr328gtb Post Number: 60 Registered: 5-2003 Posted on Monday, September 08, 2003 - 10:06 am: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- any idea when kyosho will release the new 328 gtb model?? thanks Dave Goldman (Dave328) Formula 3 Username: Dave328 Post Number: 278 Registered: 11-2002 Posted on Monday, September 08, 2003 - 6:05 am: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Uh-Oh! I see the Anson 328 price-gouging coming to an abrupt end! I didn't realize Kyosho was going to do a 328. Sweet! Glad I didn't rush to pay $100+ for the $29.99 Anson model! Mule (Mule) Rookie Username: Mule Post Number: 27 Registered: 6-2003 Posted on Sunday, September 07, 2003 - 5:22 pm: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- John, You may want to wait until Kyosho releases their 328GTB. I have an Anson, but I think the Kyosho will be higher quality and cheaper. The Anson's are always around $100 on eBay. And I think they are all GTS's. See the Kyosho 308GTB thread. Search Ferrari 328. There are usually 2-3 of the Hasagawa 1/24 kits. Only problem is you won't have the '89 wheels. I have both the GTS & GTB kits and they are very nice. john roberts (Jr328gtb) Karting Username: Jr328gtb Post Number: 58 Registered: 5-2003 Posted on Saturday, September 06, 2003 - 6:47 pm: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- anyone have any experience with finding a 328GTB model. I do not collect but I am intersted in getting a model of my car thanks
The Kyosho 328 will come in Two colors Red and Black it will be a the 328 GTB model and will come in the 1:18 scale
Anson made the 328 GTS and GTB in the colors Red, Yellow, and Black. The 328 GTS and rare GTB models can be found on Cavallo models in Germany. Do not confuse this with Cavallino models, as they are two totally different sites. The Releae date for kyosho 328 GTB is Mid December.
The Anson 328 GTS is a very poor model. The color is off as well as the detail. I can't for the life of me understand how the price was so overinflated. You can pick one up, for anywhere from 50-100 dollars. I spent around $70.00, but was disappointed by the quality. On the other hand I just got my Kyosho 308 GTB and 365 GTB/4. The quality and detail of each vehicle is worth more than the measley $60.00 each that I paid. These models are limited to 5000 each, and could easily go in the future for $100.00 +.
The reason why they were so expensive was because it was the only die-cast 1:18 model made of it. The only alternative at that time was a plastic 1/24 kit by Hasagawa (I think it was them), plus the one or two made by obscure 1:43 companies... Should be a different story now with the planned release from Kyosho. I'm still happy I have mine though and I bought it brand new... Paid $29.99 Cdn for it back in 1996!
Just received the latest catalog from Exoticar and they show the 328. ...which probably means they'll have it for sale in 2005
I emailed scalecars.com about the status of my order and they said that they expect it will be about three more months for the Kyosho 328. So much for the Oct. 2003 release date.
Augustine, Thanks for the info on your color code. The funny thing about it is, One of the reasons I wanted the color code is so I can paint a scale model to see what the color looks like. If you want your model painted the color of your car just send it to me, I can do it along with mine( I have to buy a model first).Ill be painting it with Glassurit (which I use in my shop and was used by the factory). Also I'll do the interior to match.( I did some research and found the code for it). Vinny
That would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!! I have a blue 288 now and it's my favorite because it's the closest I have found to my car!! My car is blu chiaro 1987 Ferrari GTS. I have the GTB on back order like everyone else here. What do you charge to paint it blue? Thanks
Vinny, Thank you for the offer. I'd definitely be interested in sending it to you. I bought two of them so that I can have one customized. I'll let you know when I get it. Thanks again. -Augustine
No charge, I'd be happy to do it along with mine. Last night I bid on an Anson model but didnt win it, Good thing, After reading this thread, sounds like the Kyosho is the way to go. I'll put my order in tonight. In the meantime I think I'll paint a Dino in the Azzurro, I'll post a picture when its done.
Slag, Don't you know the 328 GTS made by Anson? I've got one in red. Maybe you can get one and let it be painted blue... Rico
Thanks Vinny - I have one on order - I'll get in contact with you when it ever gets here. That is too cool!!! Rico - I like the Anson also - They just seem to be going for 100+ lately.
Looks good, but those wheels look right off the Anson model. Not really dished in (concave) like a pre ABS car, but not really dished out (convex) like a ABS car. Sort of flat.
