Is it true that 308's came with a manual window crank/ tool. I certainly don't have one in my tool kit, which I believe is complete. I've noticed that there is access through the door panel to a portion of the window motor which has a slotted end on it. If there is such an animal, what does it look like?

Yes there is such an item. Should be in your tool kit if complete.
Its black about 6-8 inches long. If no else posts a pic soon, I will
the next time I take my car out. Currrently not at home garage so I can not help you today. They occasoinally pop up on e-bay, over-priced but available.

I'd love to see a pic of one. Actually, I did find a lose tool in my trunk which is about the length you describe , Matt, but I had no idea what it was for. Maybe that's it! Anyway, a pic would be helpful. The thing I have doesn't seem to fit the motor slot, but I'll take a closer look at it.

The PO had mine stored in the front pocket on the passenger side footwell. It's so flat you may not even notice it's in there...

A previous owner put tweeters over the emergency access hole. I hope I never have to use it.

I just bought one from Ferrari UK for about $30. A bit pricey for what I got, (looks like it should cost no more than $5.00) but good insurance if you need to close the window in a crisis. My right side window is slow and the whole mechanism is going to be rebuilt this winter, but it's good to know I can close it manually if one of the notoriously flaky electric mechanisms ceases functioning.

    Stacy,
Mine doesn't look like the one Gianluca posted. It looks like a "T". I am not at home until Saturday (I'm on the road) but will be happy to post a picture and part number of mine as soon as I get home.

    Best,
    Jonathan

    Hi guys...

Do not order window crank #50031103!! Ferrari UK told me that was the one for mt car but it doesn't fit...either that is he wrong number or they sent me the wrong one.

I have sent an e-mail asking what to do and as yet no response.

    Hi Jonathan,

Sorry to hear that you have received the incorrect crank. The correct one for the 308 is #20105607. I shall get this one sent out to you asap. No need to send the wrong one back.
