www.fastrakdays.com are holding a trackday at Bedford autodrome on March 6th. There will be predominantly porsches(GT3 RS, 993 RS, 996s etc etc), but we would like to get some ferraris there aswell. For booking details PM me. There is a 101db noise limit.

I have been on this circuit with my 348 that has a tubi and no cats. It just passed. They ask you hold the throttle at 3500 rpm so they can measure it. I held mine at 2700 - 3000rpm. It was OK.. The circuitis the best in the country. So smooth, not crap on the tarmac, loads of run off.

What is the story here with regard noise levels @ Bedford? If Kenyon can pass Db test with Tubi and no cats, we all shd be able too as well......
    Noony,
do you know the guys at this track?

Listening to what Kenyon said it sounds like it ok. But there is still a risk of not being allowed in, which is yours to take. If you're not allowed in, rides will be available in a GT3 RS and other awesome cars. Up to you.

No I don't know these guys, but I know someone who does. Have you got a question?

    Here we go:

"Okay just spoken to Bedford, most 360's pass, all depends on the exhaust. The noist limit is 101bD at 50 sm from the exhaust pipe, if they fail they will do a drive by test which is 87dB at 20 meters, and most rear engined cars should pass this. So it's their choice, but if bedford turn them away there is no refund

Also if they want to be tested before, bedford will test them at a lunch time."

    Hehehehe.....sadly can't be done.

It's not the track's rules, it's the councils.

    Hi,

We ran a 348 and a 355 at Bedford last year, both with Tubi's.

The 348 read 101/2Db but they passed us, the 355 read 109Db and they failed it. They had one guy watching the rev counter as they tested.

They did let us onto the track for 'drive by' monitoring and told us where the monitor was. We lifted off at that point for the first session and never got approached again, so did the rest of the day at full blast.

News, Tiff Needell and the other 5th gear guys will be attending, and filming a race between the owners of the trackday company with their GT3RS and 993 RS and Tiff. Should be fun.
