The Porsche guys are frothing at the mouth over at Rennlist. Other threads have mentioned the abnormally rapid wear and high replacement costs of the PCCB ceramic brakes. The list price for each disc is $8600! One of the guys went to arbitration and was turned down because of his track activity. As someone else said, they advertise the GT2/GT3 as having great track performance and then refuse to cover problems that surface on the track.

    Here is the arbitrator's ruling:

“The Manufacturer presented documentary evidence indicating that Porsche includes a warranty with the vehicle in question which excludes from warranty coverage any….competition, racing or track use… While Porsche, according to the warranty booklet, will repair or replace with a new or remanufactured part distributed by Porsche Cars NA…that is defective in material or workmanship under normal use…Normal use is defined in the Porsche warranty Manual as follows: To be driven on reasonable road surfaces within legal speed limits… For the above stated reasons, the Arbitrators agreed that this Consumer is not entitled to relief…"

Gonna be interesting to see how Ferrari handles the Stradale problems, IF they occur.

I heard that too, that the ceramic breaks on the Porsches have been having problems. One of my friends is a Porsche nut and says he wouldn't get them because of too many horror stories.
