Wow, one day since I've announced with event still 6 weeks away and we already have 6 entries. We're going to have some really neat trophies. All this for only $20.

Here are the award classes I'm thinking of right now. Feedback welcome.

    > Best of Show (3 deep)
    > 90's & Later 8 Cylinder (3 deep)
    > 90's & Later 12 Cylinder (2 deep)
    > 80's 8 Cylinder (3 deep)
    > 80's 12 Cylinder (2 deep)
    > 70's & Earlier (3 deep)
    > Best Engine Bay (1 deep)
    > Best Car Detail (1 deep)

Right now I'm thinking of allowing Ferraris and Maseratis to compete together. However, let me know if you think there should be a separate Maserati class.

Deadline will be 10am March 13th, is that late enough? I'm just trying to get an idea of cars beforehand. Everyone will pay when they arrive. Like I said, it's informal.

Dave, we'll have a special class for you. I'm working on some ideas now...

    "Ferraris with real torque" :D

    "If GM buys FIAT class"

"Art cars" For you and Speedy308.

"Enzo rolling in his grave class"

"Getting more interest at Barrett-Jackson class"

With only a $20 entry to cover awards and insurance we don't have a huge budget. I think we've found some decent awards to fit within our budget though.

    Here are all the classes...

    Best of Show
    1st Place Maserati
    2nd Place Maserati
    3rd Place Maserati
    1st Place Ferrari 90's & Later 8
    2nd Place Ferrari 90's & Later 8
    3rd Place Ferrari 90's & Later 8
    1st Place Ferrari 90's & Later 12
    2nd Place Ferrari 90's & Later 12
    1st Place Ferrari 80's 8
    2nd Place Ferrari 80's 8
    3rd Place Ferrari 80's 8
    1st Place Ferrari 80's 12
    2nd Place Ferrari 80's 12
    1st Place Ferrari 70's & Earlier
    2nd Place Ferrari 70's & Earlier
    3rd Place Ferrari 70's & Earlier
    Best Engine Bay
    Best Car Detail
    Highest Mileage

Remember, you can sign up with this form, no money needed until the day of, we're just trying to get a car count...

Here's the award we're considering right now, it's large AA86 one and will be engraved. You can actually drink out of it too. It's officially called a tea glass.

With good feedback from Marci, we've added another Maserati class. With all the entries we're receiving I have also upgraded the awards quite a bit. Instead of the small glasses, we're going with some very nice self standing crystal looking awards. The "Best of Show" award is really special!

It's all casual participant voting, except "High Mileage" of course.

    Here are the updated classes...

    Best of Show
    1st Place Maserati 90's & Later
    2nd Place Maserati 90's & Later
    1st Place Maserati 80's & Earlier
    2nd Place Maserati 80's & Earlier
    3rd Place Maserati 80's & Earlier
    1st Place Ferrari 90's & Later 8
    2nd Place Ferrari 90's & Later 8
    3rd Place Ferrari 90's & Later 8
    1st Place Ferrari 90's & Later 12
    2nd Place Ferrari 90's & Later 12
    1st Place Ferrari 80's 8
    2nd Place Ferrari 80's 8
    3rd Place Ferrari 80's 8
    1st Place Ferrari 80's 12
    2nd Place Ferrari 80's 12
    1st Place Ferrari 70's & Earlier
    2nd Place Ferrari 70's & Earlier
    3rd Place Ferrari 70's & Earlier
    Best Engine Bay
    Best Car Detail
    Highest Mileage

Only $20 per car, so you can't beat this show for the price. Fees won't be collected until the show day and you don't have to pre-register, but you can submit your car(s) through the following form to help our planning.

    http://www.fcadfw.com/fca_dfw_car_show_at_ferrari.htm

We've had some great cars enter, like some in the "Ferrari 70's & Earlier" class and a F40.

    Thanks,
    rob

It's from the NART years, see, when Enzo was upset with the FIA...... note the white/blue NART scheme.

We had to turn this one back to event organizers last year, so we didn't paint it. Imagine my surprise to see them give it to another team the next day, to try to match our results.... (ahem) Two pole position qualifying efforts, two first place finishes, with trophies....... the next team promptly crashed it!!!

Hey man, come buy one of these red ones! I need to start prep for 2004.
As always, check payable to Child Advocates, tax deductable.

Should I bring one to the Dallas show???????
