    Mine is the 7.

The Jack Russell transport vehicle is the 5. (aka wife's car) It's a bear to keep that thing clean.

Nice F car! Very nice pics.

However my favorite in the pic is the 528 wagon (i guessed 528 becuase of the wheels? )

I think a 540i wagon with the 6 speed with be the ultimate sleeper! I envy your Jack Russell :)

Actually, I didn't read Kenny's note very carefully... it's a 2001 525it. Just a weee bit underpowered, but with a terrier in the back it's got plenty of "bark".

Sure a 540 is nice, but I would be happy with your 525 as well. To me it is one of the most classic 5 series ever built, and I have a soft spot for a wagon. Your auto choices definitely show a sign of class and elegant taste!

Well said. You have the best models of the past BMWs, and I too have a softspot for sport wagons. Is there an optional manual tranny for the wagons?

    Yes there is :)

Also if you look at Motor Trend (can't remember which issue/year), they shoehorned a M5 motor into the 5 series wagon

...they supposedly never introduced a manual transmission in the e39 wagons. A 540i 6spd touring would be a sweet combination though.

while we're on the topic of wagons and M5s...

btw, Jack Russell Racing, you ready for tomorrow? :)

Yeah - I'll be there. It looks like this event has become a Bimmerfest instead of an F-Chat meet, but that's cool. A buddy of mine just got a Miata turbo with 15lbs of boost. I think he'll be coming too.

If the weather doesn't clear, I might end up in the 740.
