Slight delay with taking delivery but should have by late Friday?
Problem is I'll have no time to put many miles on it before
the run. I know I'll be a speed target that's ok. since it will
be so new I don't want to screw up the breakin. I put 100 miles on my viper driving slow before I just red lined it! But bear in mind a new Viper crate V-10 costs only 12,000. Think the Lambo engine cost would make that look cheap! In addition my wife whimps out at speed! Well she did make it to 150 mph in my Viper before she went ballistic!

 

I just noticed you used to have a 288 GTO - Where is that car now?

That went to a guy in Alabama in I guess 1987 or 1988.
I have no idea where any of the cars I used to own are? SAD!
Except GT-40 #1012 is in France that guy found me a couple of weeks ago and wanted background.

I don't even have or remember serial #'s on most. I was just too
loose and didn't think it was any big deal. But remember with the exception of the 288GTO and F-40 I was way ahead of my time with cars. I started buying 427 Cobras at 14000 ,275 GTB at 14000
etc.The 289 GT-40 I bought in England for $23,000 for example!
DAMN WHY DID YOU HAVE TO ASK THAT QUESTION IT MAKES ME SICK TO THINK ABOUT THESE BEAUTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just told by my wife, I will be buzy with her all day Sunday. Great. Now I cannot go on this drivw.

There is one stop halfway through the drive for 20 minutes, long enough to stretch, take pictures, enjoy the view, not including time it will take to park and then fire up the engines. And then of course at the restaurant. Will that work?

It's official. My mom has decided not to go on this drive so I will be attending with my dad (DynastyD308qv). Sure looks like alot of fun, can't wait to meet everyone.
