Number one: I do not drive a 308 (not that there is anything wrong with them, they are in fact far superior to any ****box, overpriced tractor to ever leave the barn/factory in Santa' Agata
Number two: all this comes from someone who does not take the time to fill out a profile detailing his vast wealth, wordly possessions and all the Ferraris he owns CURRENTLY (I see that no where in your comments is there an answer to my question: WHAT FERRARI MODEL DO YOU OWN?)

Number three: Mako must be part of the Scuderia Von Reischelberg bull**** collection mentioned in another thread

Number four: we will all be pleased when you post your receipt, bill of lading from FNA and copy of your cashiers check where you PURCHASED your Stradale, assuming you will have the strength to type after stroking that big check

Number five: I bet you can't even pronounce Stradale correctly

Number six: I never CRIED like a girl, I merely stated the beauty of the 3 series ferraris is loved by many the world over, is still widely recognized today as one of the most timelessly beautiful designs,
and my opinion resonated on this board as it has in the real world

Number seven: after I pull up to you at a redlight, you in your Stradale (yeah, right) and me in my 328, and you leave me in your dust, I will have more time to drive to your house and get it on with your lady

Number seven: the absurdity of the remark "I would choose a Fiero over a 308 in a heartbeat" speaks volumes about your mentality. When you are hitting terminal velocity on the highway in your Stradale (I say again: yeah right) please call me so I can listen to the vastly appreciable differences between your Ferrari and mine in sounds and excitement as you sit behind the UPS truck in bumper to bumper traffic.

Guys, Mako is a wannabe, moron, troll, and dicksore all rolled into one, enough said.

My 77 930 370 hp 2600lb Porsche will waste my 328 all 355s,360s and TRs and most any modern perfomance car but so what, the Ferrari is more fun and you are talking 1 second difference in 0-60 stats on all the Ferrari 328,355,360 and TR models insignificant unless you are racing on a track.

Sports Car Market and many others called the 328 one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever since the California Spider, I prefer it over any modern Ferrari and it has noting to do with ecomomics of cost.

Rob, here we are again allowing negative good for nothing members that have nothing of value to add to this site, 1/2 the members here have 308s, the 550s are also slammed, like I said pelicanparts 911 forum does not have this negativity they don't allow it, who wants to log in and read moronic crap from non owners about our cars, the end result here will be just that, non owning trolls spewing their worthless opinions.

    Mako honey,

Some of us here are girls and you know what, we do have Ferrari's. And we drive'em fix'em, and buy what strikes us most. Not the most expensive one but the car that tickles our perticular fancy.

We here, men and women have Ferrari's for many reasons, they are art, engineering, evocotive, and better any other builder, Ferrari gives its owners a higher form of asthetic pleasure for all the history, passion and energy that goes in to buiduing and running one. And the're f&%ing amazing to drive

So basicly we are pleased you want a pies of s^$%t Fiero, so get it baby. Just jump on down to the pontiac forem to spout off about it.

Mako you obviously don't know your stuff. Don't bash a 328. Have you even ever ridden in one. FWIW I have ridden in a 328 and my dad owns a 355 spider and I can tell you after riding in both cars that the performance difference isn't really that great (shhhh don't tell my dad) is there a diff. yes there is. But, the sound of any f-car over 6500rpm is just awesome. It doesn't matter what the speed is, and a 308 and 328 are fast enough to get yourself into trouble and allow you to have some fun on country roads. Also Mako my uncle has an 85 corvette and I can tell you that I would rather own and drive a 328 or 308 then that car any day it is a ferrari and is so much better. Have you seen the doorsill on a C4 come on. How about all the vynal(sp) and plastic on that interior not to mention the star wars instruments. Mako don't knock the 308 and 328.

Caps key, it's to your left. You'll find it eventually, ask your dog where it is, he'll spot it before you do. :)

Go back to the top of this thread. Read down. See who started the personal nonsense, you'll find that it actually wasn't me this time for once, LOL!

So don't get all angry in your panties that tork1996 started **** and I finished it. You kick a dog in the butt, don't be shocked when it bites you in the balls. Tork found out the hard way. Learn the lesson.

Enough with the wannabes, save your pennies and buy a 355 in 10 years, which is about your pace considering you currently own 308s/328s.

Cyrus, for you I'd say re-read my first post, and remember that earning money is like dieting or learning to play golf: You don't do it all in one day. Just try to be fiscally conservative and invest in things that will get you where you need to go. You may not have the advantage of making a lot of money fast as so many of us were lucky to through the .com craze, but oppurtunity is still there. It just takes discipline.

    Good luck.

WHAT A MAN...WOW, TELL YOUR BOYFRIEND HOW YOU BEAT UP ON ALL US 'WANNABE'S'. IF YOU HAVEN'T FIGURED IT OUT, D*CKHEAD, SINCE YOU DON'T LIKE 3 SERIES CARS, THE 456, THE 550/575, OR THE 612, AND YOU HAVE NO FOCKING SENSE OF HISTORY, WHY DON'T YOU GO BACK TO YOUR CORVETTE/FIERO BOARD. AND, IT'S MY KEYBOARD, I'LL USE WHAT I WANT. NOW STFU, AND GO AWAY.

Nah, never said I didn't like "3 series cars" as you put it. Go read up on the F-cars that are worth a damn and those that aren't in this thread ('bout halfway down, even you can find it):

That'll clear it up for you. By the way, you say in that post that the TR is "somewhat ugly"?

Wow you are way off the deep end my friend. What time do the men in white coats come into your room to feed you soft food? :)

WOW!! What a heated argument over the alpha stallion of all cars. I read everything and understand all of your points of view; most importantly the ones stating that most of my enjoyment is the anticipation. Also, a friend of mine has a 308 and loves it. I honestly think he cares for it over any F-car on the road. I grew up drooling over the 355, always thinking of how I could conive or inherit the cash to get my hands on one-as a young teen. I could buy one now, but my chick would flip, and I would have to explain to everyone that instead of putting the down payment on a $800,000 condo, I bought a silver F355 targa that makes me want to wet my pants. Anyway, I just have to have the 355 and I will also own a 360 in the next 7-10 years depending on my current finacial situation-AKA Greed Level. You guys are great and this place is way more passionate and informative than any jag or benz forum. I know I'm sick, but to me owning a Ferrari is a way of life, and hopefully the 355 and I will be together soon. Hial Enzo...J/K

Nope, but close on the troll part!!! YOU'RE PSYCHIC!!! (Officially joined F-chat originally to begin researching the Stradale, getting feedback from people that were then taking delivery. Lurked for about two years or so, always an F-car fan and was a used 348 owner five years ago.

Stats for those that care, or seem obsessed by them as a few are, lol:

    Age: 31

Previous Cars Owned: MR2 S/C Modified, MR2 Turbo Modified, Ferrari 348ts stock, Honda NSX 3.0L stock (in that order).

Current Cars Owned: Honda NSX 3.2L, Infiniti G35 Coupe, Acura MDX.

Looking at for 2004 (one of the following to replace the NSX, or if things pan out better than expected this year, two of them): Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, Lamborghini Gallardo, 996TT or Ford GT.

    ?

In any case, I'm sure you'll have no problem posting your similar auto resume now that I have. Let's take a peek? :)

The racist RiceGrrl comment is the true irony here. To pick on you a bit, let's play a little game. And this is open to anyone that wants in.

Go ahead and point out to me three cars that the F-chat majority feels are superior to the three current cars I own, within their price categories that aren't of Japanese origin. Again, I'm not talking about alternate choices, like a 2000 Chevorlet Corvette in place of the NSX, or a used 348 which is slower than my current car, I'm talking about cars that we all can agree are superior. Majority wins, and the cars you suggest can't be older than 24 months from the model they're competing against, and they can't have more mileage than say 20k miles if you're suggesting used models.

    Here are the details:

    1. 1999 Honda NSX-T 3.2L, purchased a year and a half ago with 11k miles on it for $52k.

    2. 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe, purchased new last year for $36k.

    3. 2002 Acura MDX, purchased new two years ago for $35k.

So those are your price ranges to work with, you point out three selections to me that aren't of Japanese origin that are

    Cyrus,

Get over yourself, grow up, and finish college. I'm glad you're afraid of the maintenance costs of a Ferrari. Be afraid. Be very afraid. STAY AWAY FROM FERRARI OWNERSHIP.

One less spoiled brat, born with a silver coke spoon up his nose who believes he's entitled to own a Ferrari but doesn't even know how to change an oil filter. You need a Ferrari to attract women ? What's with that. Are you physically deformed ?

I'm glad I won't be seeing you any time soon in a Ferrari.

    I feel better already.

    Tom B,
I'm sure you feel accustomed to directing condescending remarks towards fellow Ferrari enthusiasts and I do not contest your right to do so, but let me have a moment to defend myself- since you are getting quite personal. First of all, I am not currently a student and was not raised with a silver coke spoon up my nose. I work very hard at what I do and graduated from an Ivy League school with honors using scholarships and grants. Furthermore, I can assure you that while standing at 6'3, 205lbs, and being an avid jujitsu trainer, I have no problems attracting women(You brought this subject up, not me). As far as you "feeling better that you won't see me in a Ferrari," I regret that you have such built up anger for people who are excited about what they love, no matter what their age or maturity level are.
I do not feel entitled to anything, and have held off on my purchase only because my liquid funds were tied up in other investments. Also, I can change an oil filter.

    No disrespect intended,
    Cy

    Good morning everyone----

You know..... this thread started out innocently compassionate enough by Cyrus and somewhere along the way, most seemed to have completely lost perspective of the original context and the contents have badly deteriorated.

Folks....This is not what Ferrarichat is about. This is not what we are about and it certainly wasn't the reason I join. Have a good Sunday.

    You do like your rice.

A 27 year old GT4 beats all of your cars easily(if you even own them)any swank restaurant/hotel they will park and pose the GT4 up front for all to see and show a Ferrari owner is at their place, your Hondas would be hidden in the back and not get a second glance, since you are so dense I'll try and explain it to you, the general public knows nothing about car specs and magazine stats they could care less, they do know what Ferrari represents though.
You really expect us to believe you owned a 348 ordered a Stradale? Now that is truly funny! Dream On Pal

Hey Gilles27, I did not start the thread, I did not start the 3 series bashing and I would think that being a 328 owner yourself, you would also take umbrage. I am no foul-mouthed windbag, in point of fact, I just cannot stand it when some POSEUR has to start his vitriol about INFERIOR Ferraris. Hey Mako, I say again, it STILL IS A FERRARI !! I do not care if it has 100bhp, it still gets more attention and devotion than ANY overpriced Jap-mobile, PERIOD. By your logic, you would not want a 155 MM because it only tops out at around 140mph or so and you could blow that away with your FAST AND FURIOUS wannabe exoticar NSX.

Sorry to jump on you Gilles, I agree with what you said in this post, there is no appreciation for aesthetics, nor is there an appreciation among many of the Ferrari owners I have met over the last few years for the HISTORY surrounding the storied Scuderia. But alas, that's what happens when something is purchased as a penile extension to offset one's feeling of inadequacies rather than for the appreciation of an automobile afficionado. Every time I go out for a drive I think "I am in a rolling piece of art, the most recognized name in the world with THE RICHEST racing pedigree and it is a car that 99.999% of the population will NEVER EVEN SEE IN REAL LIFE, LET ALONE OWN ONE !!"

I have been a Ferraristi and a tifosi since the age of 5 and appreciate the car for the rich history and beauty, not the performance. I could have bought a F355 of even a 360 but they do not turn me on as much. Plus, when it comes to automobile collecting, one's age has a lot to do with it. Usually, someone's first purchase of a particular marque mirrors what was the hot car from that marque when they were a kid, as is the case with me.

P.S. Gilles, I believe you said Mako was bull**** in this post BTW.

Amen, excellent points I'm sorry I forgot to mention that but my wife distracted me while composing an earlier reply. Joe six-pack knows FERRARI, and ANY FERRARI is a rocket ship, a unicorn, something to aspire to, something to covet, lust over and admire. So sorry the same canot be said for the rolling rice patties. BTW, I have owned Jap cars, have owned 11 superbikes and don't get me wrong, speed is great, but true connoisseurs know what I am referring to.

Also, I screwed up in a previous response I meant to say Mako would pass on a 166MM not a 155, my wife again !!

    ciao AND FORZA FERRARI
