Some photos I took back in 2002 at VIR, during the Challenge Series races. I'm sure some of you guys will recognize these cars.

Great pictures. Thanks. Not to be a pain but I think number 3 is a 250 SWB, not a GTO. You might want to change that.

Santini, thanks for sharing the pics. For future reference, the Ferraris shown are as follows:

    1961 250 GT SWB s/n 2729GT (red, #146)

    1961 250 GT SWB s/n 2733GT (silver, #16)

    1955 121 LM s/n 0532LM (red, #11)

    1953 375 MM Spyder s/n 0372AM (red, #5)

    1979 512 BB/LM s/n 32129 (blue/yellow, #76)

    1970 512 S s/n 1004 (red, "Transmission repairs.")

Of course you already know the 360 engine and 550 Maranello...

    1980 512 BB/LM s/n 32131 (red/stripes, "Business end.")

It was my pleasure Wayne. Thanks for sharing your information as well. BTW, how do you know such specifics about these cars?

By the way, what scanner did you get, and how do you like it? Obviously web photos won't do full justice.

I bought an HP Scanjet 4600. It's a very nice scanner for the $. It's one of their new "transparent" scanners that has the scan/light bar sandwiched between two polycarbonate windows, so you can see what you're scanning. The color-matching of scanned photos is just about perfect. Excellent resolution. VERY versatile: you can hold the scanner up to a picture on the wall and scan it. My kids are going to get a lot of use out of it as well for school projects, etc.

Hey, I remember that event. Peter Giddings stole my water bottle right before the awards for the historics. That was the first race my now wife and I worked for FoH's challenge team.

I wish they'd bring the Challenge races back to VIR but it doesn't look like they're going to be up there this year either.
