RACIST? RE-READ THE LONG QUOTES I PUT IN OTHER POST...I KNOW YOUR FINGER HURTS WHEN YOU SPEED READ, BUT DO IT ANYWAY. YOU COME TO FERRARI BOARD TO BRAG ABOUT HOW GREAT YOUR CARS ARE, BASH FERRARIS, AND CALL ME A RACIST. WE DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT MINIVANS, OR RICE. THEY'RE FINE, BUT I'D TAKE A DINO WITH ****TY OILPRESSURE B4 I'D DRIVE YOUR DRECK. NSX IS A NICE CAR, BUT MANY OWNERS AREN'T. IF I WANTED A SEIKO, I'D BUY A SEIKO. IF I WANTED A PP OR AP, BUT COULDN'T AFFORD ONE, I'D ASPIRE, NOT TELL EVERYONE WHO HAS A PP OR AP MY SEIKO WAS BETTER. I HAVE A MARANELLO, REPLACED A 360. I'M ON MY 8TH F-CAR. MY SON HAS AN ELEMENT. I LIKE HONDAS, NISSANS, ETC. YOU'RE STILL A TROLL. GO BACK TO LURKING. Image Unavailable, Please Login
1. A 996 is equivalent to an NSX, not superior as proven by lap times at the Ring, Spa, Sebring and TWS that I've seen. I thought of it too right away but it's too close. Maybe a late 993 turbo would win this category, but it would violate the price restriction I'd guess. 2. The 3-series has lost every head to head comparison to the G35 in all American mags, so it's not even equivalent, let alone superior. I thought of it first as well. 3. Heheh, you and me both, but something's got to tow the boat, and you might as well have a little luxury with it.
No one parking my car with bilsteins lowering it about 3/4 of an inch and 18/19 Volk GT-Cs finishing the look in So Cal will even glance at a stock GT4, it's not shocking enough for out here. I've even seen stupid valets move a 996 Turbo to park my NSX in its spot because they ignorantly thought it was a Ferrari, lol. That only speaks to the valet's foolishness, I sure as **** wouldn't move any P-turbo for my car. I know it's place. But please stick to the rules of the challenge, if I'm in love with rice cars then you've got to prove that I made the wrong decisions and that there were other non-Japanese cars available that I missed in my price category. Thanks for playing.
Tom B, Don't worry about it. We all need to blow off some steam sometimes. To me all critiquing, whether positive or negative, is appreciated. By the way, nice 3 series F-car in your pic. -Cy
Hmm. My STOCK 308 (79 Euro dry-sump) ran 0-60 in 6.2 and a 14.1 quarter (G-Tech Verified, mutitple passes on different occassions). At TWS on the 1.8 course, I managed a 1:24.8 on the 1.8 mile course with 16" tires (verified by and in-car optical lap timer). At the hands of a better driver, it got down into the low 1.23s. Oh, and that was when the car had 55K miles on the original 20 year old, somewhat-tired engine. I suppose if I had bought a fiberglass car, it probably would have been even faster. Wow, I didn't realize the Odyssey was such a nimble vehicle... Also, after putting 22K miles on it over the course of 26 months (over 2000 track miles), I only had needed to replace the alternator and a few oil seals and then sold it for what I paid for it.
