I have seen this about a year ago...but it is always amazing to see how much work went into this F40 to get it back on the road.

I wonder if all that rebuild was an eonomical move. I'll bet the project just kept getting bigger and more costly. It does look pefect. What was the cost of the job?

I too wonder about the costs of such a large untertaking...but he seems to have done a great job. Very nice results.

...that must have been a rewarding first drive after the rebuild!.....:)

Wow....I am really happy that someone saved my favorite Ferrari from certain death. Well done. :)

Anyone know the story behind the car and how it was wrecked? Also, how long the repairs took?

This may be a newbie question....but is the value of purchasing a wreck like that ALOT less than the initial cost? I only ask to figure if he was the original owner then wrecked it, then fixed it....it'd be like doubling his costs from originally buying the car.

What would the cost of that car be if he bought it wrecked?.....any ideas?

    ...just a thought...

I thought the same thing. Wrecked Cost + Rebuild cost has got to be greater than the cost of an unmolested, uncreashed, used F40

Does anybody know what kind of money it took to do the complete fix. A very neat story with a good ending.

According to the site the guy who owns it / rebuilt it, owns a garage and recovered the F40 from the crash, so he no doubt didnt pay retail for the wreckage, lots of the replacement parts look used, and he seems to have done most of the work himself, he's done a fantastic job and he's probabley not going to loose out financially
