Using the key or the alarm fob the central locking locks then opens immediately.

I've checked no doors are open when I lock up and it's still happening

    ANY IDEAS??

The alarm system ECU is sencing one of the doors slightly ajar. Usually is tracked down to one of the posts in the door jam area comming loose, and the door only catching on the first of 2 latches. Look at the posts and see if there is paint evidence that it has moved slightly inward. Put an allen wrench to it and see if one of them is slightly loose. WD40 both latches from jam area.

mine did this a few times, but in the opposite. you'd try to unlock it and it would unlock and then lock.

i actually was able to reproduce it eventually. it happened when a passenger (always happened with a passenger in the car after a drive) tried to pull up the lock button at the top of the door - it totally confused the computer. turning the car off and on a couple times "reset" it.

doesn't sound like your specific problem though, but just in case....

It turns out the fault was a "button" problem, and it seems to have reset itself.

Thanks for the help guys, much appriciated.
